It is Rough out There

When my college roommate set out for Los Angeles acting class to make his way in the movie industry, we were all very excited for him, but very nervous at the same time. Being a star was not necessarily his goal, but he did want to get a career in the industry. He loves film, and had a solid degree with the highest marks possible (and I mean this. He could have gotten and F or two on his college classes and still had a perfect A+ 4.0 score to show on his college transcript) and had so much potential. And when he started classes, he did some pretty amazing things. Everyone could see he was special and that he had talent. For him, the talent ended up being less in acting, and more in the writing process however. It is a challenging industry, and it can be brutal, but for those who stick with it, it can be an incredible life.

Improve Your Technique with Voice Lessons Los Angeles

Greg Safel, Voice Teacher, Vocal Coach Los Angeles, and today I want to talk about technique and how it affects your interpretation or performance of the song that you want to perform. To get your technique to a point where you don’t have to think about it while we’re performing, in other words, practicing and working your technique as hard as you can to get to a point where you can do anything you want. To get your interpretation of the song and your performance it is going to take some time. It doesn’t happen overnight, but it is extremely important, because your performance will improve as your technique improves. So it’s important to get the technique down and then we can perform at will a style that we want and performing it as we’d like. So make sure you practice your technique and get with a good teacher that can teach you good technique. It’s very, very important! This is Greg Safel, Voice Teacher, Singing Lessons Los Angeles.

Get Casted in Movies

What could be better than becoming an actor when you love to be the center of attention and you are a natural entertainer? Well if this is you then you should probably get started on you acting career by finding Movie Extra Jobs near you. Anyone can work as a movie extra, it literally requires no prior acting experience and it can be a great way to introduce yourself to how the business works on set of a movie production. One of the best thing a new actor can do to get ther career started is to practice being an easy person to work with.

If you are going to be running late and making other people uncomfortable or just a real pain to work with, you can pretty much guarantee that you won’t be getting another chance to work with those people. This can really hurt your career, seeing how most people working int he industry work together, and if you have a bad experience with one group of people, everyone in the industry will eventually hear of your work ethics and your career could be cut short.
